Sailor Moon & Astrology: Part 1 (Moon)

Hello everyone! I have always loved both Sailor Moon and Astrology. (Sailor Moon is actually what introduced me to astrology when I was a kid!) I thought it would be a fun series on each sailor scout and show how mythology and astrology were used to create each character (generally). There is also a little “Did You Know?” easter egg at the end of each girl that you probably didn’t know as well, so let’s begin!

Sailor Moon’s birthday is June 30th making her a cancer. Cancer is ruled in astrology by The Moon. (In astrology, the moon is a planet.)

Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask’s past life are Selene and Endymion, her lover, from mythology. Their story follows this Greek mythology loosely. Just like in Sailor Moon, a goddess not from Earth falls in love with a man on earth and goes down to be with him.
