Capricorn in Astrology

Capricorns have a fierce drive for success. With their ruling planet, Saturn (a.k.a., the Taskmaster), they are patient, disciplined, strong-minded and mature as hell. They are always on their A-game. They love a challenge and working hard like their animal symbol, a goal walking up a mountain. They can also be extremely generous, however, sweeping in heroically for their loved ones. Their ambition and desire for what is good and right makes them admirable, if not an inspiration! Saturn in Astrology

If the moon was our “mother” in the sky, Saturn would be our “father”. It is known as the “taskmaster”. It is our other social planet influencing us externally forcing us to work accordingly internally. It represents structure, authority (e.g., parents, teachers and community leaders), our own internal authority and how we learn to set different boundaries with different people in our lives. It takes Saturn almost 30 years to circle the sun and in astrology, it is a special time when Saturn returns to the same part of the sky as when you are born. This is called a “Saturn Return”.

Sailor Saturn’s Silence Glaive weapon was inspired by the Roman God, Saturn who was the God of agriculture (and time). He wielded a long scythe that he used to cut down grain and bring in the harvest, making space for new crops. Thus he is also associated with destruction and rebirth. Sailor Saturn is actually able to use her weapon to destroy a planet with one sweep to make space for a planet to reform or “reset”.
